VE Testing
What is VE Testing?
VE, or Volunteer Examiner, Testing.. is the procedure by which new amateur radio operators become licensed. A simple test is involved for the Technician level amateur radio license, with two additional levels – General and Extra, also available. QRZ, a website featuring vast amounts of information on amateur radio, has a good collection of practice tests and study guides available free online.
When is VE Testing?
VE testing sessions are scheduled for 3:00pm – 5:00pm on the third Saturday of the month at the American Red Cross 1545 N. West Bypass, Springfield, MO 65803
Any scheduling differences for a particular test session will be noted on the front page of this site prior to a test session and/or on SMARC’s Yahoo reflector.
